These codes, or language, make sense to appraisers but confuse uninitiated readers of our reports. Most appraisers have diversity in their business channels.

After years of AMCs chipping away at the public trust, the New York AMC law was designed to protect the consumer. When the draft of the bill was approved by the NYS Board of Real Estate Appraisal , Carol DiSanto who is the Vice Chair, walked it across the street to The New York State Association of REALTORS (NYSAR).

This is an excellent diversification opportunity, with little competition from other appraisers or the GSEs use of other ways to get a value without human appraisers. You can expand your area to include rural appraisals to get more business. This kept appraisers busy. There may be seminars available.
