Taking a webinar or class from him is definitely worth the price. If you receive a request for an oddball appraisal that you cannot accept due to lack of competency, instead of just passing it off by referring it to another appraiser with more experience, why not reach out to the appraiser and ask if you can tag along on the assignment?
