FAQ: Do I Need To Use The Same Fields In Both My Form View and List View?

Answer: No, you do not have to use the same form fields within both views

When it comes to building out your digital forms, there are two different approaches to how you can configure your form layout: Form View and List View. Form View displays your form fields just as a paper form would, and is configured by uploading an existing form to the GoFormz Template editor. List View requires no PDF or JPG for upload - you can start building your form from scratch

Although you can easily toggle between Form View and List View  in the GoFormz app, these two views are entirely independent of each other. You can create a form that works in both views or choose to use only one view - providing even further customization for form builders, and allowing users complete control over what fields are included in each view. If a user wants to utilize the same fields for both views, then you can rapidly build your List View by utilizing the Auto Build feature. This will create a copy of all your Form View fields within your List View. This is a great starting point if you want to establish parity between your two views - from here, you can organize your List View fields into the appropriate Tabs and Sections .

Both views will work across all mobile devices (phones and tablets) and web browsers, but most GoFormz users prefer the Form View on a tablet or desktop screen, whereas List View is convenient on mobile devices since the screen sizes tend to be smaller and a list provides greater user experience.
