The Appraiser Qualifications Board’s (AQB) Second Exposure Draft of proposed changes to the Real Property Appraiser Qualification Criteria is available for public comment, The Appraisal Foundation announced in a release.
This Exposure Draft would make fair housing a required component of an appraiser’s qualifying and continuing education. Public comments are critical to the development of new editions of the Criteria, and the AQB values all input it receives.
The AQB is accepting all public comments until June 17.
AQB Chair Brad Swinney and Vice President of Appraisal Issues Lisa Desmarais hosted a webinar to discuss this Exposure Draft on June 1.
The AQB also will accept verbal comments at its virtual public meeting on Thursday, June 22.
