The U.S. economy added about 372,000 jobs in June, above expactations, however, the unemployment rate remained unchanged compared with May at 3.6%, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Notable job gains occurred in professional and business services, leisure and hospitality and health care.
The number of unemployed persons was essentially unchanged at 5.9 million.
The number of long-term unemployed (those jobless for 27 weeks or more) was also unchanged at 1.3 million.
