Pink slips will arrive for 58 employees working in the mortgage business at Texana Bank in California, according to a Worker Adjustment Retraining Notification (WARN) sent to the state’s Employment Development Department. Lauren Witherspoon, director of human resources, wrote: “Circumstances will force Texana Bank to conduct layoffs,” taking place Sept. 5, according to the document reviewed by HousingWire.

Guild Mortgage has launched a new loan program that evaluates borrower eligibility using residual income analysis and rent payment history. Guild’s Complete Rate program, powered by FormFree , offers an alternative method to measure credit risk for borrowers, the company says in a release. But make no mistake, even in a down mortgage market lenders are still dangling signing bonuses to recruit high-producing LOs who can eat what they kill. Black Knight Inc. ’s “first-look” report on June 2022 month-end mortgage performance statistics shows total U.S. loan delinquency rate (loans 30 or more days past due, but not in foreclosure) at 2.84% with a month-over-month change of 3.31% and a year-over-year change of -35.10%.
