CONDO NEWS

Bellevue will be abuzz in 2023 with the scheduled opening of a luxury development that will feature a blend of exclusive shops and restaurants, a five-star hotel and two condo towers. Avenue Bellevue is already the talk of the city amid great promise, which I covered in a blog post last year.

Construction is only a few floors away from topping out at around 25 stories. Lower floors are being enclosed with floor-to-ceiling windows and components to the kitchens, and baths are arriving now from Europe and other locales with plans to start installation soon. Here’s a project update from September.

Prices start at $1M (about $1760/sq. ft.) for a studio in the West tower, known as the Residences. The ultra-luxury Estates, or South, tower includes 1-bed homes from $1.4M (about $2107/sq. ft.). All homes come with at least one parking space and two spaces with the highest-priced units. Buyers can purchase a space for $79K but availability is limited. Stalls with EV charging systems are also available for purchase.

It’s exciting to see Bellevue blossom over the years and I predict Avenue Bellevue will be one of the city’s keystone landmarks for decades to come.

Less than two blocks north, a 138-unit, high-rise condo is under construction. Mari will offer the usual luxury amenities – rooftop deck and indoor lounge, private dining, fitness center, yoga studio, Zen library and anchored by a 24/7 concierge team. Also known as Mari Bellevue, the project is targeting a 2024 opening.

Mari is the sister building from Create World developers to Mira Flats, which opened next door in 2018. Mira Flats sold out its 162-unit supply exactly a year ago.

So, yes, Bellevue is still building condos even while most of the region is taking a slight pause during bumpier times in the housing market.
