Share of Mortgages in Forbearance Plans Keeps Falling

The share of mortgages remaining in forbearance plans fell to 1.30% as of January 31, however, there was some deterioration in the performance of borrowers with existing loan workouts, according the Mortgage Bankers Association’s (MBA) monthly Loan Monitoring Survey.

The previous week, the share of loans in forbearance was 1.41%.

The share of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loans in forbearance decreased 4 basis points to 0.68%.
