The Sunshine State seems to be getting a lot more foot traffic these days, with the number of homebuyers moving to Miami tripling year-over-year, a new analysis found. According to Redfin ’s monthly migration report, July saw the net inflow of Redfin users packing their bags and moving to Miami rise to 7,610, up from 2,216 last year. Loans in forbearance flat ahead of CFPB regulations

The number of loans in forbearance stood unchanged from last week at 3.25% for the week ending on Aug. 22. According to the latest report from the Mortgage Bankers Association , 1.6 million homeowners are in forbearance plans. The share of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loans in forbearance remained the same, at 1.66%. The share of Ginnie Mae loans with paused payments also saw no change at 3.92%, but the share of portfolio loans and private-label securities in forbearance increased slightly from 7.

Pending Home Sales Fell 1.8 Percent in July as the Market Cools

Pending home sales decreased 1.8% on an adjusted basis in July compared with June and were down 8.5% compared with July 2020, according to the National Association of Realtors (NAR).
