Delinquency Rate Fell in May to Lowest Level Since June 2020

CoreLogic’s monthly Loan Performance Insights Report for May 2021 shows that 4.7% of all mortgages in the U.S. were in some stage of delinquency (30 days or more past due, including those in foreclosure), representing a 2.6% decrease in delinquency compared to May 2020, when it was 7.3%. However, overall delinquencies are above the early 2020, pre-pandemic rate of 3.5%.
