New home sales in December were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 811,000, an increase of 11.9% compared with the revised November rate of 725,000 but a decrease of 14.0% compared with December 2020, according to estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
