In her role overseeing capital markets and treasury technology, Bhandari leverages her ability to bring people together with the right technologies to drive innovation at Fannie Mae. She is responsible for the technology delivery and strategic development of Fannie Mae’s trading, conduit, pricing and structured transactions technology platforms. These systems support Capital Markets and Treasury in providing liquidity to the mortgage market, raising funds for the company and handling the enterprise’s cash transactions. Bhandari stood up the MBS Trade Portal which automates the online trading of MBS securities and has increased revenue by $20 million and saved 63 hours per month in the trade confirmation process. The portal received a 2020 Stevie Award for Top FinTech solution. With a focus on continuous learning and improvement, she believes “Nothing is a failure, rather it is a learning opportunity.” Bhandari uses these opportunities to improve the products Fannie Mae delivers to its customers and improve their user experience.
